Lone Star...Double Wedding Ring.....wedding quilts finished...yay!

I did it!....so good to have these two wedding quilts finished....yay, double yay!!
I quilted all day yesterday, so determined to get the Lone Star quilted before the end of the year...
I quilted all day, then stayed up and watched the "Notebook" movie.....I have watched it many times, but still cried all the way through it...

These two quilts were my focus for most of this year.
I quilted the Lone Star myself, mostly on my Pfaff Grand Quilter...lots of ditch stitching and you may just be able to see the eight pointed stars in the light plain blocks.
Echoed the stars a couple of times and stippled around the stars on the SS, mainly to stop any  puffiness...... those plain blocks are 14 inches square..
I also made three cushions out of the scraps to throw on the bed......♥
This double wedding quilt is so big.....it's as big as the first one I made (in my header)  12 years ago...
This DWR quilt was quilted by a longarm quilter.....this one I know was way too big for me to handle..
So, that's them done....now to wait for April 2015....two grand kids getting married, a very very special month...

I'm taking a break for a while......
It's been a tough  roller coaster year.....I just want to get through the next few weeks and start a fresh New Year.....
Thank you for your visits and lovely comments throughout this year. Your blogging friendships have meant so much to me...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year..
Take care....
