Lone Star...just needs borders...

This is what I did today...
.....I thought I would need to add some smaller stars around the border, but it's already big enough!
Very dramatic....isn't it, sure makes a statement that's for sure.
I'm thinking a black border is all it really needs, and perhaps a couple of pillow shams or better still, maybe a few cushions out of the left over fabric, to add a bit of softness to the overall look....
I was going to send it to the longarm quilter, but poor Sweet Susie needs a play.
I will be very nervous, but I really must make an effort to use Susie, she just sits there looking very sad and neglected.
Susie has just had an update and service, so all being well the tension won't give me so much trouble as before.
With the update, there's a feature that will let me know when the bobbin is running out....how cool is that!

Have a great weekend,  I shall be busy quilting.....♥

What a challenge to quilt it, but you are up for it, and it sounds like Susie is, too!
I think I need to get Gidget updated--I like the sound of that bobbin feature!

  15. This quilt is sensational - I'm sure you will be fine with the quilting, once you make a start. I wish my Janome had a feature like that, telling you when the bobbin is running out of thread. Many times have I been blithely sewing away until everything falls apart because the bobbin thread ran out 10 minutes ago!
