Swinging '30's...nine patch

A quick post to update my new project...that was called...
Dancing Nine Patch, I'm now calling "Swinging '30's Nine Patch"....
...Just for fun....I thought this new  name suites this quilt better...they are still dancing!

Name...Inspired by the stage show in town right now called "In the Mood"....all the way from the states.
With music from the swinging '30's and '40's like the Andrew Sisters, and all the famous big bands.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
" In the Mood" is a big band era #1 hit recorded by American bandleader Glenn Miller. It topped the charts in 1940 in the U.S. and one year later was featured in the movie Sun Valley Serenade.

We have a group at the local university that does Big Band style shows. They call their show "In the Miller Mood." It is great fun!
I have that movie "Sun Valley Serenade." The musicals and comedies of the 30s and 40s are my favorites!!

  8. Swingin' 30s Nine Patch is a great layout, Julia! Sorry I've miss reading your blog posts for a while. Retirement life is even more full than when working full time! That's so wrong!
