It's a Flimsie.....yay!

I did it....I stayed up late last night and got up early this morning...
....all it needed was just another 9 rows...
...as it grew, I grew to love it too. This will be great for when I have company over...
...from another angle.
A big YAY  for scrappy quilts....doesn't it liberate us , using up our scraps, not having to go buy up metres of background fabric. That's what I love the most, and just the look of scrappy quilts is comforting and warming.
Scrappy repros....how good is that!

I'm putting this aside for a while, so I can get back to my Vintage Dresden's while I think about how I'm going to quilt this top...

Gorgeous day outside....forecast rain, but I can see it happening....♥

  6. What a great quilt top - I just love this. Couldn't agree more about creating with scraps; they make our quilts "ours".

When you said you were going to put it aside my first reaction was, "Why?" Then you mentioned the Dresdens and I knew why. Can't wait to see more of those! : )

  10. Scrappy quilts are my favorites, but I haven't finished many. Shame on me, and three cheers for you, finishing this wonderful flimsie!

Love seeing the quilts on the ladder, but please explain that little DJane on the wall. Is that a miniature you made, maybe an embroidered version? Why don't I remember posts about it?
Of course, that crazy quilt project in the center of the wall looks so like a Julia project.
I'm sure a visit to your home is a feast for a stitcher's heart.

  21. Many of the older properties in London and even some of the newer ones are prone to drainage problems. With everything from root growing into pipes, your own home waste blocking the pipe, to leaves and gravel being washed into the storm drains, there are a million and one things that can cause pipes inside and outside your home to be blocked. ..
