Vintage Dresdens...time for something new..

Now isn't this a beautiful Dresden...
...a dear patchwork friend found this pattern and gave it to me, saying she thought it was very me...it's different. it's vintage, and it's my thing!
I'm thinking ......I'll do it all scrappy in the beautiful 1930's repros that will just suite this pattern so beautifully.
I have scaled down the pattern a bit...now look at that little nine patch in the middle..and to think that will have to be made smaller too...or perhaps I could do a four patch..
I'm so excited to have something new to work on...this will be a great project to take out to patchwork every week...but knowing me, I'll be working on this in the evenings too..
I'm thinking...hand-quilting!  Sorry Sweet Susie...I just think this needs to be hand-quilted...unless I get REALLY REALLY good at doing feathers, well see..!

Great sewing weather today ...it's going to be cold and wet for most of the day.
Enjoy your day....♥

I am making a Dresden quilt (L o n g time project) I am EPP using yellows & blues.
Does the centre piece get appliquéd on?

What an interesting and beautiful Dresden Julia. Yest it is perfect for you. The 30's fabrics look so nice and I can't wait to see what you decide on for the centers. Haven't visited for a while, so I read all of your Dresden posts today. Fun!
