Blogger has changed me over to the new interface..and just between you and I...not happy just now!
I'm a creature of habit...don't like change..!
Where is the box for writing the text in..there's not a clear box to write in, just a big white empty space.....
How do you feel about the new interface...?
I hate it! I can't see all the buttons for selecting fonts, adding pics, etc.
ReplyDeleteIm with you Julia....a creature of habit. My brain is full of craft ideas, no room for learning new techno stuff!!! Cathy
ReplyDeleteI switched a little while ago and found that until I went to Chrome the new format drove me crazy. When I use it with Chrome everything works better. Hang in there - you'll get it figured out.
ReplyDeleteI too am a creature of habbit and do not like change but found (like Carol) if you use it in Chrome it will work better and be easier. Mind you, I only use Chrome for blog posts as ike I said, I am a creature of habbit! :o)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Julia thats why I have stuck to writing with Windows Live Writer for blog posts.
ReplyDeleteThey must have switched me a while back-I've been using it for a couple of months now. I don't like it though. And I haven't caved to their premade templates either.
ReplyDeleteIt's like when you go to the supermarket & they change things around! :-/
ReplyDeleteI hate it with a passion!! It's no longer user friendly, or am I just getting old and testy?? Seriously though, it's quite complex to get around. I'll try the chrome thingy, although I'm tempted to opt out and try WordPress.
ReplyDeleteAll this new stuff is making my brain full. I managed to post photo's from my phone onto my blog but couldn't put them in order with words so had to post them and then edit them. It took me hours so next time it will be back to the camera. Our emails too have changed to a new format this week and it has been information overload. Good luck Julia!
ReplyDeleteI got my new dashboard yesterday but haven't posted yet Julia!
ReplyDeleteI changed mine over a couple of months back , and just kept clicking all the tabs (or whatever they are called) to see what they did.
ReplyDeleteAs the computer and I are not friends I didn't like the change either but I'm getting used to it now.....
I don't like it, either. I have no clue why they have to "fix" what isn't broken. I especially liked the old dashboard where I could access everything from a reasonably arranged compact space. Now there is white space all over the place and it takes several clicks to move back and forth between what I want to do.
ReplyDeleteI switched quite a while ago. I don't use Chrome but I've had no problems. It really doesn't seem that different to me!
ReplyDelete...and then, I couldn't find my previous posts for a link to it, or how to add labels after the post becuz' it wasn't in the same set up system, and all that white made for a bit of an off set feel, too...but I'll learn...that's what we do...yes, it was a bit humbling....

How new is "new"? I switched interfaces about ten months ago, or more! It wasn't too difficult, with just a few changes in the appearance of the blog dashboard. If this is the change you're referring to, I like it... after becoming accustomed to it. I hope you aren't saying that Blogger has come up with yet another version!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I looked at the new interface I thought it sucked!
ReplyDeleteI went back to the old interface until it was gone forever. The way I work is that I always stay in HTML mode and did with the old interface. The only 'tool' I use it to upload an image from my library of images. Other than that I write my own code.
One plus with the switch is that my template, colors, widgets were retained. What I have not looked or found yet is how to backup my blog which I do often.
I have put up two posts, have learned a lot and now it's not a big deal. No...it is not as good as the old interface but it now works for me.
If you have problems. read the New Blogger Interface Tutorial here.
