The General again...on a roll

Couldn't sleep, so I got up early (4.30am) and worked on the last few blocks and the sashing...
It's starting to come together beautifully...I know in my minds eye what I want to do for the borders.....but...looking at it here, I'm thinking it looks long and narrow and really needs another row length ways to balance it out nicely..
OK, back to the machine...have a great Sunday....♥

  6. I've never seen a French General project that hasn't been great but your is beautiful. The background fabric really makes them pop. Another row would look stunning. Great work! Tracee xx

  10. I'm sure you'll be happy with another row added. These blocks are combining to make a lovely quilt! I still haven't started any granny squares, but they're near the top of my to-do list. I'm enjoying the symmetry of yours. Scrappy is OK, but this line of fabric is definitely lovely here.

  11. It's looking very pretty, Julia. I finished my Great Granny Along quilt top this past week and it's four blocks across by five blocks high. I think you're right... that for proportion, another column is needed.
