I really haven't felt like doing too much, but I thought I'd sit under the air-con and try to get my Around The Rose Garden quilted...It's quite big and heavy, so I brought it out to the family room table where there's more room for it to rest on as I quilt...
Too hot to fuss too much, just a simple cross hatch machine quilting will be enough and finish it off nicely...my trusty Husqvarna sewing machine is great for quilting, no walking foot, as it has a sensor motion foot lift, just wish it had a bigger throat...
Air-con full on as my Teddies watch and keep me company...Dh asleep in his recliner chair.
Hope your having a great weekend....♥

Oh! my goodnes you are sweltering over there, while we are awash in flash flood waters and rain LOL!! Best thing to do in both circumstances, stay home and quilt!!!!!
Why aren't you putting it on your Frame?
I hope it gets more comfy for you there soon.
I don't want to jinx things but we haven't really had many hot days here in New Zealand. A scattering is all. It does not bother me as I love winter.I should inmagine you are pleased to have the air con unit.
It sounds like you're simplifying the quilting so it will be finished sooner rather than later. The weight and size and stress of working with a large quilt on a hot day--not pleasant.
Best of luck with finishing it with a smile still on your face.
And I hope a heat break comes your way soon.
Not the perfect project for such hot weather. Thank goodness for air conditioners.
We are expecting a drop in temperature overnight.
Oh I so dislike the heat.
I have not even touched a quilt since summer started. We haven't had 41deg but it's been up in the mid 30's and very humid here. Looks great though
I didn't think it was that hot today! We have had a lovely breeze up here all day and haven't even put the a/c on. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for you...
We're having record rain here but that might mean we're in for a summer like you're having now. I hope it cools off for you. I love your rose garden quilt and the teddies are so cute! I love teddy bears.
I remember that awful Perth heat...stay cool dear Julia!
We are freezing cold here in Utah USA. But I don't like heat either. Thank heavens for a good AC. Your quilt is going to be beautiful.
Catching up with you. So funny to think of you being hot. I know you get that a lot but it is true. Happy Australia day last week to you.
What a pretty quilt Julia -love that you used all rose fabrics! Hope it cools down a bit soon.
