Back to Kaffe

We've just had a lovely lunch with DS#1 chef Joe and family...with every one's busy lifestyle and a quite a few kilometres apart, it's hard to catch up very often, so times like these are very special.
I can't show you, but I received some lovely framed photos of the Grandkids 21st birthday photos, gosh they sure grow up way too fast. I think DH and I are the smallest in our family..and that wouldn't be too hard to beat!...
On to quilty news...I thought I'd start the New Year with Kaffe...I'd really like to get on and do a few more houses, perhaps enough for a wall hanging...see how I go ....♥

Blogger is not being very nice lately...see my header..all of a sudden it's shrunk!
Doesn't matter what I do, I can't fix it...it's either too big and blurry or it shrinks to this size..
Help!...does anyone know how to fix it please..I don't like it like this..
Thank you.....♥

  1. The houses look great and would make a nice lap quilt size too. I don't know if you use picassa but if you do, you could import it into picnik to resize it. It has the otion of keeping the dimensions correct too. Ther's probably other progtams you could do the same in.

  3. Oh Julia! What a thing to happen! I am planning on putting a new header on my blog for the next and first post of the new year, and would hate it if it shrinks like that! I have very little experience with these things so I can't help you! Your kaffe houses look great altogether!!

  4. Lovely bright houses Julia. Silly Blogger. Maybe it will just go right on its own, it keeps telling me I am not a blogger?!!!

  5. I periodically have silly blogger problems and don't know how to correct them, either. *sigh* Your houses look lovely! I'm glad you had a nice family New Year's day luncheon!

  6. Blogger can be finicky at times...I haven't a clue how to help.
Do like the houses!! What pattern is that and what size are they?

  7. Blogger does seem to have a mind of its own. I sent the site address for Joe's blog to my youngest daughter - her boyfriend loves loves loves to cook and Joe's recipes sound delicious! DD told me even she was making some of them. Your houses look really good together. I haven't started mine yet. Maybe this year?

  9. I'm seeing a house theme all over blogland. I've decided to skip the 3"/one-every-day-for-a-year Scrappy Houses quiltalong, but your Kaffe houses are real gems. I've been tempted by you before to try something like these. One of these days I'll actually cut into my Kaffe collection. For now, I'm just petting and admiring.
I'm no help with the header problem. Sorry. I use a wide template and (knock on wood) so far, no problems.

  13. Those houses are as cute as can be! So glad you had a nice time with family. As for your header, perhaps Blogger set up a new restriction. Your previous header was quite large, took a long time to load, and filled up more than half of my computer screen. Maybe Blogger felt the need to "cut you down to size," just like you are with your children and grandchildren! Littler! LOL
