CW Blocks / Quilt update...

Had a lovely day of sewing today...

Pieced a few more of the Alabama Variation blocks..... and with the last lot of blocks that I had caught up with, added some of them to the quilt and came up with this...

Can't wait to see what the next block will be....

Hope your having fun with some stitching....till next time, take care....♥

  7. Is this the quilt Barbara Brackman is doing? It certainly looks different when you add the other blocks - I like it anyway but I love yours! Your alternate blocks really make a difference. You'll have a beautiful quilt when it's finished.

  18. Seeing the Civil War blocks with the setting blocks adds such a finished look to all of them. You've chosen a winner, Julia. BTW, do you quilt in your sleep? You get so much done!

  19. Hi Julia, I found you on the Civil War Flicker group. I was planning of setting my Civil War blocks with alternating Irish Chain - until I saw yours. I love the way the block transfers from light to dark. Would you mind if I used your idea did the same?
