What is it with Blogger...New bag.

For some reason blogger doesn't like me....I've tried leaving a few comments, but I can't understand why some comments go through and others it won't let them through.
I've changed my password so many times, I'm going to have trouble remembering which one to use now...grrrr!

Lets see if it will let me post this today...
Janet, one of my embroidery ladies, inspired us all to have a go at making this bag...Janet bought all the fabrics and cut the bag out for us, we just had to embellish it, then Janet put the bag together for us.
We all have the same colour fabrics for the bag, but each have added their own special touch with the embellishing....
I'm not into a lot bling...so I choose a very simple, very old vintage lace motif, that I have had for quite some time, never quite knew what to use it on...
I thought this would be perfect on the bag. I have beaded the lace motif with tiny bronze/copper delica beads, bugle beads and outlined some of the motif with gold thread....Thanks Janet..♥

Here's the blue and white quilt on the back spare bed...all the blocks are done...now just to add them to the quilt, then the borders...hopefully today!

Hope you get some time to stitch today...have a lovely weekend..♥

  1. Your blue and white quilt looks wonderful! Someone told me that when I sign into Google, to leave the "keep me signed in" box unchecked and that would solve the problem of leaving comments. I tried it and so far it's working great! :0)

  2. Hello Julia, That is a pretty bag and just enough embellishment. I also adore the blue quilt.

I have read from others that if a blog does not use the pop-up comment form, google does not accept your password. You can choose "anonymous" and post your comment and just type your name.

It is a long weekend for us (holiday) and we will have a picnic on Monday. Tonight we are having much needed rain.

Love to you, Reno and the family.

  3. With blogger, I've had terrible trouble with Internet Explorer the last few days. I don't know if it is because I upgraded to version 8, or a different reason, but I found if I switch to Firefox my comments are going through fine. Perhaps you could try that...
Your blue and white is looking gorgeous!

  4. What a wonderful lady Janet is to do most of the work on your beautiful bags. Like the way you embellished yours.

The Blue and White quilt is looking fabulous too.

  5. Your bag is gorgeous Julia. I had a bit of the same trouble with blogger yesterday so I "unticked" my "stay connected to blogger all the time" and that worked.

  7. Me too Julia. Someone told me to untick the box and it has worked better since but even so, if it worked well before why does it keep changing things for no reason. Lovely bag you have made and the blue and white is coming along a treat.

  11. That bag is a picture of elegance Julia.
Can't believe that it wasn't so long ago that you were waiting for these fabrics and now they are almost a very lovely quilt. Blogger is upsetting many of us at the moment, hopefully it will settle down soon.

  12. Wonderful bag. I'm having the same problem with blogger. When I sign into my google account, it doesn't recognize me even though I changed my password. I'm recognized as "anonymous".

  16. I like the subtle touch you put on your bag. It is elegant. Blogger has had so many problems all month. I haven't had a problem leaving comments but had one person write me saying she couldn't comment on my blog. I have gotten any comments in days so I don't know if it's Blogger or no one is commenting. I tested myself and it worked yesterday. Have you noticed that the "Follow" buttons have disappeared as have the Follower pictures? Grrr.

  17. Thanks to everyone who has posted those comments about Blogger problems - I've been blaming my poor old computer! I feel a bit better now, knowing it's not just me.
Julia, I don't like a lot of bling either (which is why my CQ blocks aren't as adventurous as the others one sees on the Net), so I think the lace you used on your bag is perfect.
