Magic Gemstones.. & Civil War blocks 7-8

I've decided it will be a quilt after all...
What I had in mind would not suit these fabrics, (that's my excuse anyway)...so guess what, yep I ordered more fabrics, isn't that what quilters do...smile!
I'm really pleased with how this is looking...it now measure 48 inches across, so I'm thinking perhaps another 6 inches across and then a few more rows length ways and it should be a nice lap size quilt...♥

Civil War blocks 7-8 are done...that's me up to date, until tomorrow anyway..
These two were really easy ones to do....

It's too hot to keep on sewing today....off to the beach foreshore for an ice cream and a walk along the beach...
Until next time...take care...♥

  1. Love your Civil War blocks. I'm doing this project too. I see you're in Perth, me too. Is the heatwave absolutely killing you? My sewing room is without A/C and not a pleasant place to be at the moment.

  7. Well done Julia, it wasn't long ago that you were looking for the pattern and now it is close to completion!
You don't need an excuse for buying fabric because you actually use it. Whereas I buy in anticipation of using it, there lies the difference. Your BB blocks are lovely and the new one is not too difficult.
