Civil war blocks...update

At last I am caught up on my Civil War blocks....
Hmm...not sure about the last one, Kansas Troubles...I think I will have to redo it ... it looks a bit.. blah!
I had two goes on it, looking at it here, I think I really should of added another brighter colour into the mix...a bit of cheddar in there might be what it needs...
Well, it's Saturday here already...it's been a busy week...nice to relax a bit now.
Have a great weekend.....♥

  1. Morning Julia..
Actually I like it... the KT block.. I like the way it sits with the others :-)

I can't wait to add to mine at some point.. it's so good having these blocks to draw upon.

  6. I have to second--or is third--or what ever Number to the above ideas--I love that block just as it is and I think it will look great all on it's own in the quilt--

  7. I like the Kansas Troubles block as it is, Julia. It's simple in its coloration, as the 7 stars block is. They'll be mixed among the ones with a touch of brighter color, and they'll all look like they belong.

Enjoy the weekend, relaxing and stitching.

  8. That is so funny that you should say that. Even before I read your post I thought how much I liked that block! But you are the one who has to like it!

  11. Don't redo it until you have other blocks done where you can add those other colours. I think it looks great and they'll all go together just wonderfully.

  12. The week end is now almost over and I am still behind with my Civil War Blocks. I too think you should leave your blocks as they are - it will all balance out in the end.
