Sidetracked...

I got sidetracked.... instead of getting on with what I have already started or intended to do, I played with this... Hmm... not sure about this, I think there's too much of the spotty fabric...very fiddly, may make a nice table runner.
Have a great weekend.......♥

  5. Hmmmm....I'm not sure about that, either, but it's also not easy to tell, for sure, with that white doily/fabric behind it. I'd set the whole thing down on something dark and maybe you can decide easier that way.

  7. Oh how easily we get distracted, and I speak from experience here! Those spots do look a little heavy but I have full confidence in your creative ability.

I see what you mean with the dotty background, but it really might turn into a lovely fresh quilt - just try a hundred more and you'll know :)

  10. I think all quilter's get sidetracked - some more than others and I include myself in that category. I like the spot fabric. I think it counter balances the busy fabrics. Lovely.x

  11. I can't think of a better way to get sidetracked and I think many quilters are guilty of such a diversion. I absolutely love the challenge different fabrics present and will look forward to seeing how this quilt turns out.

  12. May be when it is much bigger and finished you don't notice the spotty fabric that much? I like the pattern very much. I once bought an old quilt-top with this pattern and was planning to reproduce it some time. I see you have a special template for this one, is it difficult to sew the pieces together with the round shapes by machine?

  13. I like the way you sidetrack a play is a good thing. I'm like that with backgrounds, sometimes it's hard to project how it'll look.
