Auditioning Pinwheels with Braids...

Been busy over the weekend putting this braid quilt top together...
It was really fun, I enjoyed piecing it, I'm amazed how easy and quick it is to do.
If your looking for a quick quilt to run up, this pioneer braid quilting is the way to go. It's a lot of sewing... but no points to match, just easy seams !
I'm thinking now I'd like it a bit bigger, but I really don't want to make anymore braids.
I was just going to add a wide border.... but perhaps a narrow border then these scrappy pinwheels may just set it off nicely....♥
With just 6 sleeps to Christmas Day, I had to have a little chuckle when I saw this on my son Joe-da-Chef's facebook...
" Dear Santa, Please send your credit card number. it's only fair since you're getting the credit for the gifts, that you should start paying for them also"
Until next time..take care..♥

  11. I love your braided quilt - I have been wanting to try that for a long time - 2011 will be it! How interesting that you have been to the legendary Raffles hotel of which I have heard about. I wonder if you have ever seen the miniseries "Tenko" about British and Dutch women who were internees in Indonesia during WWII - Raffles is in the story and is such a famous place. Have a wonderful Christmas!

    Your braids are STUNNING!!!

By the way, tried to replied to you, but email bounced back... this is what I wrote, "Hi Julia,

Glad to hear from you. Smocking is my stress relief. It's pretty much
    "mind-less" after I get started. :)

    Wendy"
