Aunt Millie #4...

Now there are four...here's that colour orange again it's getting harder to pick what fabrics to use for the fussy cutting...this one is so busy compared to the other three, but I'm hoping that all the blocks together will balance out...
Four done so far... I did find that I really needed to have bought bigger pieces of Kaffe fabrics...fat quarters or even half yards just don't have enough repeats on them for the four repeats needed for four element blocks like these....
Not sure which one I like the best...so far the bottom right block has been the most popular..
I'll put these away for a bit and work on my Calico Garden nine patches and applique blocks.
Have a nice day..hope yours is a good one!......♥

  9. The orange fabric looks like those sticks made with special clay where you roll a tube with different colors and then slice & bake for beads. Can't think what they are called.

  11. The blocks are gorgeous Julia. Although #4 has busy fabric the simpler flower shape balances it well.

  13. Thanks a lot for your comments.I love all 4 blocks! I can understand you want to repeat the fabrics. I can see you repeated some of them already and maybe it is not neccesary to repeat every fabric. It will probably work out when you make more blocks. And can you buy more of the Kaffe fabrics you like?
