Been Shopping...

I've been shopping...are these bright or what!
I'm trying to break out of my comfort zone...Really I am!

So I bought these Kaffe fabrics to add to a few that I bought the other week.
They are gorgeous, but I have not worked with such bright fabrics before, so they do scare me a little....now I'm just waiting for this pattern that's on the way to arrive, "Aunt Millie's Garden Quilt" from Piece of Cake designs

and then with a bit courage, I'll cut into them! While I'm waiting to find that burst of enthusiasm and the courage to cut into these bright gorgeous fabrics, I've been doing a few more African Flower crochet hexies...you'll find the pattern here...

Have a great day whatever your doing...the sun's shinning and it's a great day to get out and about today....♥

  1. I think that you should start working with those fabrics as soon as possible. If you should lose the "love" for them by keeping them too long they will be much harder to work with - well that's been my experience.

  3. I"m no into working with real brights very often, either. I do like it when I work with them, but not as much as my other preferred fabrics...which are more subdued! Your pattern for the fabrics look like it's a great one, though.

  17. Absolutely beautiful fabrics. It is a dilemma though, to decide what to do with them. I'm not even a 'real' quilter, but I can't resist buying fabrics that I fall in love with in the shop!
