Spring or Winter !....

I just had to share these photos with you ...taken yesterday..today it's raining!

We are into winter now, but my flowers are just blooming like it was spring!
Here's a little walk around my front garden...
Down the front near the verge are my Nemesia's...these came up from last years planting...

My research tells me that....Nemesias, are a southern African genus of annuals and perennial sub shrubs, and a group of plants eminently suitable to our West Australian gardens. They bear small, sometimes scented, snapdragon-like flowers in range of colours from white through yellow, orange, red, pink, purple and blue as well as combinations of these...and ..
...these beautiful deep burgundy and white Petunias fill the top front garden bed...The roses are just about ready to be pruned now...late next month after the frosts will be a good time to do them...
Enjoy your day....♥

  2. My goodness...such a beautiful garden for it being nearly winter. I'm guessing your part of the country doesn't get any severe winter weather?

  6. If you didn't mention that you were in Western Australia I would've thought you were living in the northern hemisphere with your garden in full bloom like that. It looks absolutely stunning!

  11. I would say your garden looks very English at the moment Julia. You should do a Julia's Flower Garden quilt of all the colours. It is supposed to be summer here in England, you wouldn't know it was today.

  12. Beatiful flowers! I thought:didn't Julia live in Australie? Looked at your profile and then back at the photo's again. Funny isn't it?
I also enjoyed your post about the crocheting. I too was tempted to do some crocheting lately. It is also because I found very nice patterns and explanations that were very good, so I had to try it:)

  15. All those flowers are beautiful. Hard to believe that it's winter and they still look so beautiful!

Hear you on staying off the computer - I'm getting into too much trouble looking at everyone's beautiful things.

  16. I can't get past the petunias flowering at this time of year! It must be warm over there. Freezing here in Victoria. Your garden is lovely Julia.
