" Baby It's Cold Outside "....

Brrr...it's so cold today...as the song goes..." Baby It's Cold Outside !"
This is our front lawn this morning...I don't ever remember the lawn being iced over like this before. Just yesterday we pulled out all the lovely flowers from the garden bed to go out with the rubbish this morning...there's no way they would have survived today's icy frost !
It doesn't get cold enough here to snow...but it looks like that could change!

Now this gorgeous quilt is just what one needs to cuddle under on these freezing cold nights...
Lyn, one of my Tuesday patchwork friends made this up from a pattern she bought at the last big craft show..
How lovely and warm does this look on the bed...great job, just beautiful Lyn, thank you...
It's Friday already ...where has this week gone already...Stay warm or cool wherever you are..♥

  2. Oh that frost looks so cold. I always think Australia is a warm place, do you actually get a little snow and how long does it stay? I'm actually a transplant from the cold North. I'm in the dessert so it gets hot here this time of year 110 degrees lately. So we escape to the mountains to get away from the heat when we can. I love it when the nights cool down.

  10. Lyn's quilt is wonderful Julia. Ha! That is a frosty morning. I hope your plants will survive the cold. I have been trying to hand quilt this week in very hot weather and whilst having a few hot flushes. I think I am mad.

  20. Gorgeous quilt! LOVE it! Stay warm, it's sounds like good weather to sew! It is so very hot here in the Midwest U.S....so I do like to see pictures like yours to remind me of what it will be like here in 6 months...then I don't whine as much.

  23. That is a beautiful quilt! I was so shocked when I opened your post to see frost - then I had to look twice to see you're in Australia. Here where I live in the southwest USA it is 112 Fahrenheit today! I feel cooler just looking at your yard LOL.
