Dear Jane is an ward winner !..

OMG...what an amazing day it was today...
My "Inspired by Jane" quilt was chosen as the second prize winner in the Traditional, Professional category...and then at the end of the show, just when I thought it was all over, I was called up again to receive the lovely award of Retaining the Tradition...a lovely honour to win, I was thrilled to bits !...
The centre medallion piece was designed by a very talented Aussie quilter Robyn Ahern...Robyn kindly gave me permission to use her lovely design on my quilt....Thank you Robyn.

This gorgeous quilt with a yellow ribbon is called "Wild Things" it belongs to dear quilting friend Robin (no blog)

This lovely quilt by Helen Rhodes is called William Morris and Friends also taking a second place in it's category..
There are so many amazing quilts, and such beautiful work ...it must have been hard for the judges to chose the winners..
I should have taken a better photo, but I was so excited to get this posted...
I was given a lovely QS roll of wool batting, three metres of Moda repro fabric, three metres of Moda coordinating fabrics...and a little bit of stash money.

I did get to do some shopping...but I'm going back to the show on Friday to do white glove duty, I'm sure I'll find something else to buy...
I do have some more photos, but I'm all tuckered out...time to put the old feet up and come down to earth... thank you all so much for the lovely comments..
Until next time...♥
