New Project...another!

Oh dear...sorry it's so dull, not a good day for photos..it's been overcast all day, but no rain..
After a lovely fairly quiet Easter, I thought I would start a new project.
Couldn't help myself, I just had to start something new yesterday...you know the feeling!.....just something quite quick and easy..
So this is it...a quilt measuring 16" x 20"....these cute little basket blocks measure just 4 1/2 inches,

This will be a weeny little doll quilt, from this book that I bought a few weeks ago...there are some lovely little quilts in this book, lovely applique and pieced quilts.

Off to my local patchwork group this morning, so looking forward to meeting up with the girls again.
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter...gosh the year is going by so fast, April already!
Happy Stitching...♥

  1. I love the 30's baskets.

Don't you just love Lori's book. I've only done one of the minis from the books but hope to do all of them eventually.

  4. I love that little basket block. I've also heard it called, cake stand. I made one like that years ago and gave it to a neighbor. I think my blocks were 8 inches, not tiny like yours.

  7. I've been thinking about starting that exact same pattern! I know it isn't spring for you, but it is here. I am just in the mood for some flowery pastel 30's prints. So cute and keep sharing your progress.

  9. Julia, your baskets are so pretty, just adorable! What a wonderful book. I ordered the Gwen Marston book, it arrived and has not been opened as it is a Mother's Day present for ME, I can't believe I have been so good not to open the package!!! Hope you had a lovely day sewing. Your photo header is very nice.

  14. Your blocks look great. I will keep my eye out for this book. It looks lovely and from all the comments many others agree. I am off to do a Sudoku quilt workshop tomorrow and want to do it as a miniature. Not sure if it will work but I won't know until I try. Happy sewing.
