Apple Core Runner ...all finished

The runner is all finished, ready to be loved and used...
I had some perfect red gingham that I used for the backing and the bias binding around the apple cores...I think it's very vintage and sets it off beautifully!
Here is a close up to show how I just meandered over the flower embroidery and around the lady and parasol.
I'm so happy with this runner, I might just make another one with different embroidery...
Until next time..happy stitching...♥

  24. Julia, everything about my visit in this moment is beautiful. From your header to the detail and meander in your beautiful runner. I think to myself "surely I can find a better descriptive" but sometimes keep-it-simple works best. That fits as I consider that (keep it simple). The runner is simplistic with each element and that's how you highlight each vintage aspect and pull it together. That's how it all works so beautifully - I think. You're talent is really something to share! It makes me enjoy blogging.

  30. Nearly missed this post! I thought it was the same one when it came past me. I love it Julia, I am going to make one. I have never make apple core before, hope you don't mind. I am not just always saying that I will make every quilts you made. They have all gone in to my TO MAKE list, but this one is small enough that I can start soon - Question for you (again), did you hand pieced the applie cores or machine pieced? I love it, love it!!! Hugs Nat
