Christmas Gifts...for someone?

Pretties for Christmas...
I thought I would try to fit in making a few Christmas gifts here and there while also trying to get a few UFO's and the Dresden Plate quilt done.....how are you going with preparing for Christmas?
Come next month and all the Christmas wind up parties will start and be in full swing before you know it!
I thought a lovely silk ribbon embroidered 2010 dairy might be nice for someone or for a little secret Santa gift. Hearts and topiary trees are my favourite SRE's to do...simple but very pretty!
The brocade fabric I used for these diaries was bought early last year and I've just about used it all up...it's been lovely to work on.
I doubt I'll be able to buy anymore of this same fabric, but I have saved some to make myself a Hussif....would you believe of all the hussif's I have made I don't have one!

Tomorrow is guild sewing day...I'm really looking forward to the day out with girlfriends...I had the flu the last day out... I'm starting to feel withdrawal symptoms setting in...

Remember..." If life gives you scraps make a quilt"....♥

  10. I am getting a malware alert when I start to visit your blog. Did you just add the Christmas countdown button? That has been the problem on other blogs of late.
Good idea to start making little Christmas gifts now and be ahead of the game. I don't think I will have time this year to do that.

  11. Oh... such lucky ones who get these diaries Julia...they look gorgious!!..what a good idea too...and i dont know what a Hussif is...never heard of it....I am making Christmas cards for friends and relatives..have to make 30!! and i like to make them different..so not every body gets te same and try to hit there personal taste in colors..some"older"people dont like the scrappy ones and so on...pfft...some make them all year around so they dont have to do them all at ones but i dont like to make them in the summer..it does not work then for me...got to have a few rainy dark days when its cold outside.. i got my inspiration to make them then...
so lots to do..got to make some "fabricwreaths"to with the little cushions..( picture on one of my blogs) so...i am "of the streets"these months to come
