Back to Dresdens...auditioning

At last we have some sunshine...the last few days it's been bleak ,wet and windy!

I'm just about ready to put my Dresden blocks together...just tossing up whether to go for on point or on the straight...above and below are a few on the floor for audition....
Hmm, I'm thinking on point, but I like them either way...will have to see if I have enough fabric and think about this...
Check out Christine's gorgeous Dresden Plates...
Too nice to stay in today...have a lovely weekend!
Until next time...♥

  6. It will be fun to see what way you decide to lay your blocks. I like both but I think that you see dresden plates laid out straight so on point would be different. The quilt is going to be so beautiful, so soft and cuddly.

  15. Hi Julia, after reading your blog for so long, you have unwittingly inspired me to take classes in patchwork! Our tutor teaches us a different design each week, so we end up with six blocks each of a different design. Today I took home the instructions for cutting out the pieces for the Dresden Plate, which is something I have always longed to do. Tonight I visit your blog, and what do I find? Dresden Plate quilt!
