Doily Girls...

Introducing my Doily Girls...Edwina, Rose and Millie...
I made these a while back...they are fun to do...so easy and only limited by your imagination!

It's just a doily folded in half, a slit for the head to pop through, stitched along the bottom, stuffed with polyester fill and embellished with lace, beading, SRE ...whatever takes your fancy...as much or as little to your liking..
Lyn of Bluebird quilts made and post one on her blog the other day pop over and see her lovely doily doll....♥

Strip-O-Hoy quilt nearly quilted...had a good run on it yesterday.
Must keep going while I'm on a roll!!

Happy stitching...♥

  3. The doily dolls are very cute. You did a great job on the faces...I'm not so good on faces! (Can you give a bit more detail to me on how you make the heads for the dolls?)

  5. Julia, your doily girls are so cute. I like the scrappy strip-o-hoy quilt. I wonder if you might share where you got the pattern or who it is made by.

  10. Strip aHoy is lovely! No matter how hard I try, I never have any success pinning my quilts, & always end up basting by hand.

    Lovely Doily Ladies!

  13. Edwina, Rose and Millie are flourising in their location and I must say these ladies are simply spectacular the way you've brought their vintage warmth to life. And the pillow background is ohhh so pleasing.
