Auditioning Next Round ....

This quilt is really getting made up as I go...I don't even know what to call it!

Pinwheels are on, and another narrow green border to frame them...I think it's looking good so far. I thought the next row should not be too fussy, as not to take away from the pinwheels.
So I'm thinking of these hexagon flowers all the way around...one for every two pinwheels or perhaps more flowers spaced out a little closer together...would love to see what you think on this.
Then perhaps something a bit busier for the next row...
This is fun....I'm enjoying working on this quilt so much.... it'll be interesting to see what I end up with...
Must go and get dinner started...♥

  4. I like the flowers but would have them closer together OR put a smaller flower between each large flower.......think there is too much white space between those two flowers now. This is going to be a wonderful quilt. I love the pinwheels that you added.....really nice!

  6. I like the hexagon flowers but I agree with Pat, there seems to be a little too much white space. I wonder if you used a darker background fabric? What about joining the hexagon flowers together with a vine and leaves similar to the centre sauare. Love the pinwheels.

  12. What a lovely start to your quilt Julia. I like Julie's suggestion of a darker fabric, perhaps one of the warmer shades from the centre block.

I'll be watching for more work on this quilt.
