Civil War Quilt ...progress.

Boy it was so hot yesterday!.....by early morning you could feel the heat was so intense, you could cook an egg on the pavement!
The temp got to nearly 42 degrees Celsius, even with the air con working overtime was just taking the edge off the heat..

Here's my Civil War quilt so far...I'm still stitching up those sashing strips, gosh I hope I will have enough background fabric to do the lot. I bought the fabric last year from Thousands of Bolts fabric online.

I'm going to have to make the quilt a little smaller as I seem to be using up the background fabric very quickly..

Not as hot today, a few chores and perhaps a little more on my quilt.
In friendship...♥

  4. Hi Julia, I just love your quilt. We are experiencing some of our coldest temperatures ever here in Georgia. The heat you describe must be miserable. Hopefully, you have been able to stay in the cool indoors today. Have a blessed weekend.

  7. Julia this quilt is one of my favourites and of course on my "to do" list. I actually got the pattern out as a leader/ender project when I was working on my double delight so I knew what you were working on before you announced it. Yours is looking fabulous. Thank you also for the award it was lovely of you.

  9. What a quilt Julia, It's looking gorgeous. We had a hottie the other day but it's cooled right down now, just as well since the air con has gone on the blink. Hope thet can fix it before the next heat wave.
