House Quilt Wallhanging...

With Christmas over, it was time to go back to a quilty header and background...

Hmm!...not sure about this 1930's fabric background though...I'll leave it there for a few days and see if it grows on me. The quilt header is a lovely 1930's quilt called Aunt Maggie's Tulips, by Brandywine Designs.

The above wall hanging quilt is a favourite of mine, I came across the design in an Aussie magazine several years ago. The original pattern was for a big cushion, but I rather liked it as a wall hanging....now this would be a nice header for my blog....Hmm!

The weather man said we are in for a hot week, so I'm off to do a bit of gardening and then inside to sew...
Have lovely day.
Hugs

  3. Hi Julia

The quilt in your header is one of the patterns Lurline, myself and a small group made as a raffle quilt for the St.Lukes nurses. Must see if I have a photo of it somewere. hugs
